Configure SMTP

Run the Midway setup command and enter your SMTP server hostname or IP address when prompted. The setup then asks for the SMTP port (default 587), username, password, sender address, and recipient address. Leave the server prompt empty to skip SMTP setup. The settings are saved under tokens.email_smtp in midway.yaml:

Enable email notifications

By default, Midway sends notifications to all configured methods. To restrict delivery to email, define notification.send_to with Email in the list:

	pick_from: All

When notification.send_to is defined, configured methods left out of the list will not receive notifications. pick_from can further select a subset of the listed methods; All selects every listed method.

The SMTP password is stored in midway.yaml, so protect that file as you would any file containing credentials.
