# Release binary

> Download and install a prebuilt Midway CLI binary

1. Open the [Midway releases](https://github.com/hazyio/midway/releases) page.
2. Download the archive matching your operating system and architecture. Windows releases use ZIP archives; Linux and macOS releases use `.tar.gz` archives.
3. Extract the archive and move the `midway` executable to a directory on your `PATH`.

Prebuilt archives currently target Linux x86\_64 (`x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu`), Windows x86\_64 (`x86_64-pc-windows-msvc`), and Apple Silicon macOS (`aarch64-apple-darwin`). For ARM64 Windows, ARM64 Linux, or Intel macOS (x86\_64), use [Cargo to build Midway for your machine](/installation/cargo).

Verify the installation:

```bash theme={null}
midway --version
```
